Item # DMC, Digital Modulating Controller

The DMC - Digital Valve Positioner is used in our flow control valves to proportionally position valve actuator between full open and closed positions via a 4-20mA or 0-10Vdc input signal. The card has been designed to be extremely easy to setup utilizing an on board microprocessor to store the zero and span positions with a simple button touch. It isn't necessary to cycle back and forth to set the zero and span. Local control switches on board allow for precise setting of the valve/actuator. Once you have the positions desired, simply store them in memory.

Optional Features
• Zero and Span Digital setup (no trim pots to adjust)
• 4-20mA or 0-10Vdc input - Jumper selectable
• Extremely compact design - 2.75" sq. x 1.4" wide
• Push button Local Control (Local/Remote Mode, Jog Hi, Jog Lo, Enter, Reset)
• Loss of Signal Command - Close, Stay Put, Open - Jumper selectable
• Reverse or Direct Acting - Jumper selectable
• Microchip 8 bit microprocessor with flash memory (retains software nearly indefinitely)
• 10 bit Analog to Digital converter chip
• Concurrent processor algorithm with interrupt routine
• On board transformer (AC version)
• 10 amp relay contacts for motor input
• UL508/CSA high voltage trace design
• 115 Vac or 12/24 Vdc power versions available (consult EVSCO for other power requirements)
• RS232 serial port header
• The DC version also has Speed control via pulse width modulation

Direct/Reverse Action

Jumpers set the action of the actuator. The unit is set at the factory for direct acting where the unit drives in a CW rotation upon receiving a low signal, i.e. 4mA = CW. The rotation is viewed from the top of the unit. However, moving the jumpers can set the unit to drive CCW upon receiving a low signal (reverse acting).
